If you know what digital marketing is, you must know how effective it is today. Well, sometimes it turns out that newbie’s are faced with some common misconceptions about digital marketing. Finally, they suffer an early defeat in this difficult market. Believe it or not, I’ve been through the same situations too. Therefore; I think I need to tell you the top things that can negatively affect your digital media marketing efforts. There is no doubt that in this technology-driven world, digital media agency has given business development a new impetus for faster growth. But here are some common mistakes a beginner should avoid:
1. More time versus less results: The first thing that disappoints a beginner is the time it takes him to get results. The fact is, there are almost no shortcuts to success in digital or online marketing (other than pay-per-click advertising). When you start marketing your business online, you will have to wait a bit and see the results. After some results, a review of the strategy can lead to the expected results. But that doesn’t mean you should stop working on digital media-based marketing tricks. One thing to remember, or pass on to your supervisors, is that the results of digital marketing will last a long time. Once the flow of commercial beings is in place, it is much better to generate income than the offline marketing process.
2. It is too technical and difficult to track or measure: I can personally tell you that I have met people who try to deny digital or online marketing just because it is a bit technical. You can hear some of my friends and even my clients say, “You understand things better because you have the technical knowledge.” But let me tell you, my friends, that I am not a technician at all and I have no technical training. By doing a Google search and with the help of a few friends, I can now easily manage the online marketing process for my website. And as for the tracking process, I can say that there are many tools out there to analyze and track the results of your digital marketing efforts. For example, there are many keyword analysis tools out there to help you learn the best keywords or phrases that will help you get ahead and outperform your competition in Google search results.
3. You have to invest a lump sum to be successful: Another setback that can really hit a beginner to take the first concrete step in digital or online marketing is money. Some people mistakenly believe that digital or online marketing is an investment of a significant portion of the marketing budget. But that is not true at all. Whether you’re hiring a digital marketing expert or just starting out on your own, a very small investment can get you better results. You can even expect better results from other traditional marketing efforts. There are many free techniques that can be implemented to get first-hand results.
4. SEO is about to die, so stop the bullshit: there are so many big brothers who have found out about themselves through Google and SEO. You have discretion: Google has allowed or does not follow traditional website optimization practices (meta tags, content, etc.). It would be better to follow other techniques. These kinds of designs are just digital marketing misconceptions! Onpage SEO (work on meta and content) is still important to Google and other search engines. These tricks lead search bots to index and display the best results for user queries. Yes, SEO techniques are becoming more and more advanced to deliver the best results to clients and they won’t die until search engines are on the market.
5. Social networks are all digital or online marketing: in the era of “Facebook”, “Twitter”, “What’s Up”, people develop a deep misunderstanding within themselves. They started to think of social media
marketing primarily as digital marketing. If you can promote your business on social media, you don’t need to do anything else. But for newbies, I have to tell you to stop thinking the same! If you do your research, you will find that there are many other techniques to help you get results. Don’t waste your time solely on social media marketing. For example, you need to know and work to make your online presence mobile-friendly to reach as many people as possible. And to do that, you need to understand a few key techniques that are part of digital media marketing.
Well, there are many other misconceptions about digital marketing processes. But I’ve only tried to come up with 5 misconceptions that a beginner can overcome! I personally have burned my nails falling into some of these damaging prejudices. That is why I believe that everyone should seek and discover the truth. There are many expert blogs that can lead a beginner to success in digital and online marketing. For example, Google spokesperson, Matt Cutts has a blog where he shares his good thoughts on online and digital marketing best practices. These blogs and helpers are endless, and after these, success is inevitable for a beginner. I hope the above points help you avoid common digital marketing misconceptions. Know the truth and be successful.
